My January

Photography | Photography diary

I’ve always been one to take lots of photos – I love to keep a record of the things I get up to and the pretty things I see.  I often look back through my photos and they make me smile.  I take my trusty iPhone with me everywhere I go and, up until a few months ago, this served me well.  However, I was looking for something a bit more with a better quality of photos and the ability to play around a bit more with focus and shutter speed.  So, after much research, I purchased the Olympus Pen E-PL7.  It’s a beautiful camera with a nostalgic retro quality and {the best bit} it has built in wifi so I can quickly upload the photos to my phone for instagram or to send to friends and family.  Gone are the days where I have to plug my camera into my computer to download.  It’s so instant.

As a result of purchasing my new camera I’ve started to take a lot more photos – who knew that was even possible.  I’ve only had it a few short months and I already have about 3000 photos.  So {rather than bombard instagram any more than I already do…} I thought it would be a nice idea to start a monthly photo diary, uploading a photo round up of the  month.  So new year, new me and all that…here goes…

January was full of beautiful skies, {lots of} coffee and late nights, fresh air and winter walks, pretty flowers {and signs of spring}, cosy fires and weekends at home.

Hello

Hello and welcome to {the good wifey}...I'm a thirty "something" who is recently married and looking for somewhere to record all the recipes I make and the things I get up to. A modern day diary if you will. You know how you always cook something you love, make it repeatedly and then forget about it? Well I'm hoping that this website will help ensure that doesn't happen again. I'm also a big lover of traditions and hope that this blog will allow me to look back over all that I get up to at each point in the year. Thank you for visiting xxxx
